Do you have a favorite card game? No one to play cards with? Well let Outreach solve your problem.
That’s right, we are asking anyone who likes to play any type of game to contact Outreach and we are going to set aside a day (or maybe two) just for you to take advantage of your card playing skills.
Whether it’s been awhile since you played and you feel “rusty”, or maybe you’ve always wanted to learn and never have, come out and join us. Just call or stop by and let Sharon know and she will get you signed up.
We have started playing but the crowd is small. Please come join us on Thursday afternoons at 1:30 for some good ole game playing. So far we have learned a card game called Golf. Everyone enjoys it and it is a quick game that can be played without too much concentration.
Some other games mentioned so far are Pinochle, Euchre, and Race Horse Canasta. I remember playing Rook when I was younger and thought it was fun, maybe someone would like to play it? How about Uno? Anything you want to play we will give it a try. After we get a few weeks practice in we maybe will have some tournaments. Sound like fun? It will sure beat sitting at home staring at the TV during the long winter days.
So give Sharon a call at 928-9400 or just show up on Thursday afternoon and join us. You don’t have to be a senior to be involved we take any age, male, female, we aren’t picky; we just want to have an enjoyable afternoon!
